Standing beneath Mount Sinai in Egypt, the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine is the oldest and most important continuously inhabited Christian monastery in the world. This text portrays the treasures that have survived from the Byzantine past, with detailed commentaries accompanied by photographs.
