The Study Day in Memory of Professor Ihor Ševčenko, held on 27 November 2010 at the Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies, University of Oxford, focused attention within the scholarly community on the conservation work being carried out on the important collection of ancient and medieval manuscripts housed in the library of Saint Catherine’s Monastery at Mount Sinai, Egypt. This conservation work is organised and funded by the Saint Catherine Foundation.
